For the workshop "GREEN DIEHARDS" I worked with an enthusiast group of students from the Breitner Academie (Amsterdam University of the Arts). We classified the vegetation in the urban surrounding of the academy building, made a selection of 32 plants (that are extremely resistant in urban environments) and used them to produce a quartet card game. In addition to this rational knowledge transfer we were also eating a lot of these plants in the form of vegetable soup and herb butter. The workshop was part of the theme week at the Breitner Academy around our changing world in the anthropocene, organised by Stefan Schäfer: “No need to put me in CC, I'm already in it-and so are you". Beside Stefan Schäfer (who gave a workshop as well) there were workshops by Juli Sikorska, Maarten Brinkman and Guerilla Kitchen. Many thanks to Karen Oude Alink, my students and the participating plants!
