PHOTOGRAPHY (A SELECTION OF SINGLE WORKS)
Plants / mushrooms (in order of appearance): Quercus rubra (Northern red oak), Picea abies (European spruce), Amanita muscaria (Fly agaric), Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas fir) 2x Fagus sylvatica (European beech), Betula pendula (Silver birch), Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas fir)
This selection contains different photographic works circling around human efforts to get in touch with trees and their habitats in European forests. The project shows people and situations in a state of humble uncertainty. The sentiment in the photos is on the one hand serious, calm and meditative and on the other hand lost, absurd and maybe even insane at the same time. The works want to confirm the power and the meaning of plants and encourage to embracing the (in some eyes) strange uncertainties that go hand in hand with discovering new (or forgotten) natures around and in us.
